Clean Energy Director
Position Summary
Fresh Energy is
seeking an exceptional individual for a newly created key role
in this dynamic, fast-growing nonprofit. We’re the region’s
only policy advocacy organization focused solely on energy. The
laws and regulations we champion are vital steps toward an energy
system that supports thriving economies, vibrant communities,
a healthy planet, and energy independence. The Clean Energy Director
serves on our management team and provides leadership to a variety
of efforts aimed at the advancement of policies which expand
the use of clean, renewable energy throughout our region.
Work Performed
The Director’s primary duty is to develop and execute strategic advocacy
initiatives and to contribute to the effectiveness of our broad
coalition of allies across our seven state region. This work involves extensive
legislative and regulatory efforts as well as the convening of diverse stakeholders
in the interest of advancing clean energy policies. Responsibilities
also include general oversight of the Fresh Energy managed “RE-AMP Commons,”
a web-based resource serving over sixty partner organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors
degree plus
a minimum
of seven years
of management
level experience
in relevant
public policy
advocacy work.
Experience
must include
the management of staff and budgets.
