On Friday, the legislatively-appointed state Green Jobs Task Force announced a plan to create 20,000 new jobs and save 50,000 in Minnesota over the next ten years. The task force was formed in 2008 to make sure that Minnesota will benefit from the increasing opportunities that exist in the green jobs sector. The 24-member task force includes a wide representation of those who have a stake in green jobs, including businesses, education, labor unions, lawmakers, and environment (represented by Fresh Energy's own Michael Noble).
Check out the Star Tribune article about the task force's findings. To see the full list of recommendations for green job creation and retention check out the executive summary and recommendation list on the taskforce's website.
